Memories & Candles
To Mrs Talley's family,
I remember fondly the Rose City days when my moma Glena Roberts and Mrs. Talley were good friends and co-teachers at Rose City Elementary. I always enjoyed Mrs. Talley's friendly smile Sunday mornings at church.
Please accept my condolences.

I had the pleasure of being a student of Mrs. Talley's at Rose City Elementary and had not seen or corresponded with her until a few years ago when I saw she was a "friend" of my friend (Martha W.) on Facebook. I sent her a message and we corresponded some. She was as pleasant and as sweet as ever. My sister is Pam, and she and Iris were friends in school. We express our sincere sympathy in the loss of your Mother.

Many great memories growing up both at Rose City Elementary and Calvary Baptist Church. The family is in our prayers. She had a great testimony for the Lord.

winnie talley is our daughter-in-law laura gilliam's grandmother. we had the privilege to meet her in baltimore, md. several years ago. she is a wonderful, sweet, christian lady with such a beautiful smile and wit. loved her husband and her family. her life's reward is now being with Jesus for all eternity and once again with her sweet husband. she will be missed....

My dear Anita & family,
Please know how very sorry I am for your great loss. What a blessing to
have a mother live to be 86! May the many memories be comforting to
you at this time. Having followed in your mother's 'career footsteps' is
indicative of the positive example she set for you.
May God continue to bless you and yours is my prayer.
Sincerely,
Charolette Ashley
(maternal grandmother of former student Hunter Baughman)

Iris, Anita and Mark,
Our friendship started on Blossom Street. Needless to say, that was a long time ago. Mrs. Talley's graciousness has been passed on to you and her grandchildren. It was a joy to visit with her before Christmas. She was still the sweet, loving lady that we have always known. She will be missed by many, but we take comfort in knowing where she is and that we will see her again some day soon. Love to all of you.

Mrs. Talley and her family have always been a part of my family's life. I can't remember a time that we didn't know them. Every time we'd come back home we would go have dinner at their house. And then the next night we would be over at the Harris's(Ms Barbara was Ms Talley's sister). Of course back when we were young we thought Ms Talley was Ms Babrbara's aunt! Go figure! :) I have many fond moments with this

Mark, Julie and family,
I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. It's hard to lose someone so close and so special to you, but I know you can rejoice in the fact that you will be reunited again on day. May God bless and comfort you all.

Barbara, I was sorry to hear about your sister. Although I never met her, I remember you spoke fondly about her when we worked together years ago.
My prayers are with you and your family.
