Dear Lauraetta's Family,

I was so sorry to hear of the death of your mother and grandmother. Lauraetta and your Dad were two of the first people at Christ the King we met when Jim, James and I moved to Arkansas. She was a lovely lady and a dear friend to me. She put up with my sorry bridge playing and even dragged me to ballroom dance lessons to see if I was any better at that.

You all are in my prayers during this time.

Best Regards,

Jaye Donato

Dear Brenda, Gail and family,

I was so saddened to learn of your Mother's passing. Lauraetta was a gem! There are few people we meet in life who make such a lasting impression - she did. It has been close to 15 years since I've seen you all. I used to handle the Star Bolt relationship at the old Twin City Bank. Dealing with Lauraetta, with all of you, was a true pleasure. I have many fond memories of my conversations

During a visit to Illinois when leaving Lauraette said "all you yankees come down and see us sometime". It was priceless!
My grandmother was Irene McBride Baldwin, pretty sure she was sister to Lauraette's father.
All I can think is there's going to be a party in heaven with all the McBride's together.

When I turned 26 I expressed to Mrs. Edgar that I was concerned that life was passing me by. She laughed and said, "Life doesn't even begin until you turn 30, but you are still a baby then. When you turn 40 you start knowing things but you don't have any money yet. When you turn 50 you begin to know how to have fun and by the time you are 60 life is great!"
She was so wise and so kind! She will be missed.

I met Lauraetta through her sister Ethel many years ago. I will always remember her caring and loving support of her family in this area. Her life was an example of the kind of people our world needs. My deepest sympathy to all of her family.

May happy memories carry you through this sad time. Lauraetta and I first shared a business relationship but this carried us into friendship. Kay Werninger, Lauraetta and I shared dinners and theatre together - I will miss her company and her always cheerful personality.
