Dorothy "Dot" McArthur McCarty was called home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2012. She was born on March 12, 1930 in Prairie County to the late Kenny and Ivie McArthur. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.V. "Shorty" McCarty, her parents and twelve brothers and sisters. She was a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church of Sherwood.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Hallmon, Tommy McCarty and Vickie Luse; four grandchildren, Jessie Jr., Michael and Pamela Hallmon and Sabryna Luse; and four great-grandchildren, Jessie
ca, Shawna, Josh and Arianna Hallmon.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Arkansas Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
